And now an example of my disagreeing with Anonymous and antisec.
They recently released 7,000 law enforcement officer's private information. SSN, username/password, address, phone number, etc.
As much as I enjoy them taking on dictators in the middle east, releasing that information for Police officers is wrong.

Why is it wrong?
So it's not ok to release Police Officers info, but the Military and the US Govt employees are fair game?
With this kind of stuff, i feel there is no grey area.
They should not be releasing ANYTHING.
If civilians are getting slaugtered in Iraq, well thats war.
It is no ones business because when it snowballs or gets taken out of context it endangers US Soliders with boots on the ground.
This is where i disagree with the US media and their 24/7 coverage of things.
These guys don't have the training or education to properly assess what they are looking at or what they hold in their hands.
There is a reason why their are Classified levels.
Not ALL knowledge is good for public issue.
Im ok with that.
Maybe its because ive heard and seen things and i have a pretty good idea on what goes on.
Much to contrary belief, its not this big evil US monster rolling across the world trying to take over every country so we must expose everything.
Shit happens, not everyone needs to know.Last edited by Ralphie; 08-01-2011, 12:45 PM.

all anon did was protect wikileaks since many people were trying to cover up what was leaked.

That was just an example, i was not saying that this group released any information on the slaughter of civilians.Originally posted by Tippey764 View PostThey didn't release the killing of civilians. Some guy named Bradley Manning did that.

I'm totally cool with anonymous ddosing Scientology or the west borough church. I'm cool with them attacking brutal dictators and helping the rebellions in Libya and Syria.
I'm not sure where I stand with them ddosing companies like Sony where they're essentially performing a virtual sit-in. Sony should STFU and revise their system to control hackers. Anonymous shouldn't have ddosed... they're both wrong.
I'm totally against them hacking and releasing sensitive information about our government, military, LEO, etc.
I'd prefer they worked with the government to help plug holes.
Now, Antisec hacked a few government contractors who get paid millions to be in charge of the .gov's computer security. They were hacked. Now, they should be fired.
There are theories that Anonymous, antisec, etc have been infiltrated by KGB, Hamas, or some other bad guys who are now influencing the group. Seems to make sense since they're starting to get more destructive.
