I always thought the cost of living in Canada was pretty reasonable outside of Toronto, Quebec, and Vancouver...

I was actually looking at property in New Brunswick that was dirt cheap. Granted, it was seriously in the middle of nowhere...

Congrats Mike. Hopefully this works out for you.
Not really...I was hired at Canadian Tire as a tire tech and they were going to pay me $10/hr, so I turned down the job, and then a couple days later got hired back at the dealer.

Our minimum wage here I think is $9 or 9.50. My roommate is making around $18ish as an n00b Optician working at his father's optical studio.

Since you detail cars, is this picture accurate?

haha, good to see everything is working out!

        P.S.

That RX-7 looks like a blank canvas to me. I love that body style.

lmao, that pic is accurate for the guys, but is 50/50 on the girls.

Some girls have rooms that look like a guys....my roommate being one of those girls who lives in her own filth.

My last female roommate had an immaculate room, and also kept her truck pretty tidy as well.

Generally it is but Alberta has oil. Oil means money and Im sure you can guess what money means.

When I was out there (granted it was Edmonton and it was 4 years ago now) Id see 7/11 offering 15 bucks an hour with benefits and a $1000 bonus if you make it past probation. Lethbridge must be different.

Minimum is 9 or 9.50? Wow. I think we're at 7.50! It's almost impossible to live on that where I am... it sucks.

Minimum in Ontario is 10. Cant live on that here either. Unless you have like 4 roommates.

They keep raising it but then the price on daily necessities goes up with it as well so its all a moot point.

isnt minimum wage 10.25hr lol, for me its kind of hard to live. some months it fine and some are terrible. With my job i get paid 600 every 15th and 30th of the month. thats my on call pay, but after 200hrs im $20 an hr hopefully i pass that this year.

As for spring/summer i make $16 an hr. Mike, if you ever move back I could probably hook you up with a job landscaping
congrats on the new job btw

If you drive across Canada, you quickly learn that most of this country is evergreen forest. There is a break in the middle with the prairies, but even there you don't have to go too far north to hit woods.

It's fun being in Saskatchewan and being able to see the mountains in one direction and the CN Tower in the other.

Funny you should say that... I've been spending the holidays in Saskatchewan visiting relatives and I'm in Regina right now.
I'll go on a rooftop and wave to the Southwest... wave back if you see me
