^^^agree. AS-IS is the best way when you know there are problems. (i actually sold a car once AS-IS needed a radiator we kept getting the wrong one at the parts store.)

well i didnt want to be a dick about selling it. i knew those were two problems(the interior fan and one of the rotors) and he said he would buy it if i got those done. i was fine with that. then 2 days later while HE was driving it, the coolant started pouring out of the engine. thats when it sat at the shop for 3 months.
      cliff notes:

-guy bought the car. i signed a contract stating i would get 2 problems fixed on it(come to think of it, i think the contract just stated that i would get the car inspected and titled).

-2 days later coolant poured out of the engine.
-car is taken to my friend's shop
      -car sits for 3 months.
-end of 3 months guy says he wants his money back because he doesnt want the car anymore.

The lesson is: fix anything you intend to fix before selling. Once you take money, make sure the title it transferred. If the buyer want's something fixed before he buys it, offer to reduce the price. Don't ever leave a car titled in your name and "sell" it.

My dad was a trusting guy, he sold a car at a garage sale and just handed the guy the title and left the plates on the car. More than a year later, a towing company called and said "Are you ever going to get this car?". The guy that bought it drove it on my dad's plates until they expired or the car died, then abandoned it.
