I finally crashed. Long story short, hit some black ice going maybe 40-45mph and I spun out, ended up on a guard rail.
The way it played out, I was very lucky. If not for the guard rail, me and my friend would have been tossed into the woods and possibly could have flipped.
Damage:
Front bumper tore off
passenger side skirt is hanging by a thread
exhaust came off the hangar
rear right tire is bent inwards
The front left was in stuck in leaves/dirt.The rear left was touching asphalt. The right front was in the air, and the rear right was just on the other side of the rail. So I think a lot of weight was resting on the rear right suspension or maybe the axle.
I don't know if it can be fixed. I don't know how much it will take to fix it (parts, labor, money). But towing it alone from where it is (2 hours away from school) is going to be costly.
As of now, I guess I'm preparing for the inevitable: a part out. Even if it can be fixed, my dad says he won't help me pay for it if it costs too much. I can't afford diddly squat. The tow charges alone would quite literally empty my bank account (again) so I have no choice but to let it sit in the impound lot (and get charged $35 a day) until I can:
afford a tow, afford to fix it, afford to take it apart and sell it piece by piece.
My first accident really didn't hit me until recently. Cried my eyes out for a little bit and I don't think that's going to stop anytime soon. Look forward to a part out thread since that is most likely what's going to happen.
