I would never drive a 20 year old vehicle I just bought 9 hours anywhere.

I flew over and drove mine 20+ hrs from Indianapolis to slc, when I got my rust free cb in 07, no headlights because relay was bad, and no muffler, no problems at all

I would've flown there and driven back home. But luckily I don't have to do that since I live in the land of no rust. Arizona baby!

I drove 8 hours each way to pick mine up on a trailer. It didn't run. That's probably more crazy than the distance.

all the way to canada if need be.

& if I lived in snow country, Id never buy one of those rust buckets there. Id always drive to the south for cars

The reason I didn't fly was that I wanted to look at three. They were 20 miles apart taxi would of been outrageous. I got her and we are driving home now everything is going great. Only thing keeping me going is I'm excited I have full suspension and wheels waiting and tons of new parts that I purchased for my wagon that pretty much is gone.

I wouldn't drive more that an hour away. I'm surrounded by cb's. Maybe if I had super high standards for how clean it should be my story would be different but I don't really have to worry about rust here so as long as it's decent and for a good price I'm all over that bad boy.

Well it's not a CB7 but I am going to fly 3000 miles out west to work for a few months and drive back in a mint '79 Z28 T-top. Closest ones I found for sale in good shape were all in western Canada. Cheap as well!

A rust free 5 speed ex wagon with less than 50,000 miles for $2000? I'll drive anywhere in the world... But finding that would be a dream of course!
