NZHonda meet very disapointing

hmm. i just went to a meet organized through nzhondas.....it was really ***. my cb was about 1 of 4 actual hondas that turned up and the rest were dumped utes and silvias and rx7's and 8's.
i was hoping to take pics to post but yeah........
they were all very young

PLUS my paradise weather has gone raining cats and dogs

Man suck it up! I've been to meets in my old 2dr all diy car to places where ppl had least 10 to 20k invested in their rides. Not just honda's all kinda cars..

My good friend has a beat as shit eg sedan with a jdm swap. Ugly as bay. Shitty lookin car. And guess wat. He doesn't care.. he still paid for a spot in a show where cars around him were seriously worked on thousands invested... I think u felt more outta plce than anything else...


I only go to lude/accord shows or meets cuz that's wat we have in common. F/h parts.

LOL hey man dont sweat it check it out atleast there is still honda life over there. You have to take that into consideration rather than not having a car up there. I know how it feels just imagine you have the fastest evo in your area and theres nothing else not even a hint of imports out. I guess gas must have gotten too expensive for most.

i mean being a meet that was organised through NZHonda you would think that it was gona be "about hondas" and was looking forward to seeing what others had done to there rides. so in that respect it was boring. i mean it was just silvias,utes,evos, subarus and a skyline. and rx7 and 8. there was a DC5 2 DC4's and my CB....oh sorry and an EK. all boring. nothing modded or swapped yadda yadda.

and it was hard trying to get in on the conversations the little clicks had going.

the last meet i went to in auckland i met a guy who had dropped an H22 in an EK...it was sick....where are all the cars like that??
my mate has an 82 Toyota Starlet with a 4AGEZE drop and rear wheel drive. WHERE IS THE COOL SHIT LIKE THAT???

You I agree a meet for Honda's but other named cars are out. Like wtf. Its a Honda meet not a 240 drfiting meet.

I hardly go 2 gathering, even at our local Sonic drive thru. Ppl stare.. stare to see wat cars are next on their list to steal or break into. I've turned down so many meets, my friends don't even bother to send me anything. Cuz they no I won't go.

NZHondas isn't really that great (which is why I joined this forum) Its also occasionally like Hondatech.



Go to the next Hardpark, specifically one thats organised by Groundlevel.co.nz.
Thats where you will see a wide range of well modded rides including many Hondas.
My mate is the Managing director, and it's all well organised.
Promos are there including redbull, Wheels companies, sounds etc
The police are informed of the event prior, so that they can be prepared and get rid of any trouble makers.

Take pride in what u have, do worry about the next guy is doing or what he looks like. Just do you. It's a meet and that's what your are there to do. MEET OTHER CAR ENTHUSIASTS

i hate cars that don't belong...work hard and hustle to make your car look decent, not some hunk of shit.

X2 there. But he had pride. He got that from me.. that attitude of not caring what ppl say. But as time passed, and the more shows I been to and even local cb meets back in 2009/2010, I saw how other ppls rides were, and didn't bother 2 b with the crowd. To me the car wasn't show worthy.. idk I'm just not interested in shows now all together. Like the big in Nj. I don't care for crowds. My friend has some pride in his car even tho its next to 20k cars. We joke on him but he likes the experience and atmosphere with the enthusiasts.

yeah when i was in Auckland i wanted to go to those Groundlevel meets. the guy i used to work with was good mates with the organizer aswell...you might know him he drives a dark blue batty pushing about 400hp and its dumped on 19"s. forgotten his name but we both worked for Sign Formula.
