Ocean City, NJ... where I spent most of my summers as a kid. It's still my beach of choice now. I hope it survives! Best boardwalk in the state!

I'm getting ready for a VERY busy winter/spring... If northeastern NJ gets hit half as hard as the southern coast is, I'm going to have a ton of vacant foreclosures to visit! So sad. Good for me, but sad for the homeowners.

That does suck man. I wondered how you deal with that stuff, I'm sure some may affect you more than others. I guess after doing it for a while you tone it out.

Yeah. I've always been able to compartmentalize. It's harder when I talk to the people (empty houses are more interesting than sad.) I'm going to be a therapist, so I'm going to have to be used to it.

Last year after the storms (none of which were anywhere near what this is going to be), the town of Pompton Lakes basically turned into "Pompton Lake".
To this day, I'm still visiting vacant homes that were ruined by water. You can smell the mold hundreds of feet away. I expect this to do some major damage in that town.
