    Hurricane Sandy

So this looks like it could be interesting, esp since NY shut down there transit, lol.

Im in Nova Scotia but I guess we are only going to get a little rain and maybe some wind.

Seems like Deev might get some of the brunt being in NJ!

    Stay safe peeps!

1 movie sums it up .... "Day after Tomorrow" .... Tidal wave followed by a flash freeze ....

On a serious note though i hope everyone stays safe. It could be that everyone is over reacting but better safe than sorry.

Yea, seems a lot of storms get over hyped, but sure is better to be safe then sorry, lol.

I live in the midwest and the "cold front" they are talking about that is going to mix with this hurricane was wicked.

It was like 80 for the high and then the next day overnight low was 28

It got so cold so quick.

        WTF is that crap?

Quoted this guy from the "good morning winter" thread. He lives in Des moines, I live in Omaha

It seriously went from pretty warm to WTF cold overnight. So, it really could provide the cold and it looks like the hurricane is providing the wet.

I wish I lived there for this. I love nasty snow storms.

Kinda sucks, I have shitty tires on my accord and the set I want to go buy from the junkyard is there but it's raining. I think I live where the eye of the storm passes over

We're in a state of emergency. Instructed to stay off the roads unless you're emergency personnel. Of course, nobody listens. Every toolbag in an SUV thinks they're invincible! My Caddy is stable, but the brakes SUCK in the rain. I don't know why... but I drive slow and keep my distance from cars in front of me. I plan my moves carefully ahead of time, and if I miss a turn, I miss a turn.

I had an appointment for a repair estimate on my Cadillac today, so I went. Then I have a date at 2. I'm not missing that!

People are freaking out. Driving like maniacs. I saw 3 accidents already, seemingly involving just one car losing control. It's not even bad yet! The rain is average, and the wind is only a little above average. Around 4 today, it'll get nuts.

There's NO bottled water to be had at supermarkets. I just stocked up on seltzer water. I drink that stuff anyway!

Houses in my town have boarded their windows, but I really don't think we'll get it that bad. I'm WAY inland... a stone's throw from Philadelphia. Our biggest threat will be flooding. Especially where I am, which is in the swamplands. The coastal towns were evacuated, though.

I'm sitting up here in Nova Scotia aswell with the others, not expecting usual hurricane weather. Kinda odd the way the storm is gonna track, not normal. This time of year we usually already got hit with whats left of a hurricane downgraded to a tropical storm atleast once. Nice video Raf I had to share that with all of my friends, I'm curious to see what Godzilla will bring us on wednesday

I'm in NJ pretty close to the coastal line so far just the wind is kicking our asses.

We pictures of our houses down in sea isle and longport, NJ. Not good at all, I will see if i can get the pictures emailed to me.

Right outside of philly the winds are kicking our asses too. A few trees already fell. They are evacuating areas around me that are prone to flooding.

The bridges will be closing soon i believe less than two hours or so.

                            Stay inside and be safe.
