I knew this guy that had an old buick skylark (late sixties, early seventies) , it looked halfway ridiculous. It was two or three different colors, it had the front grill removed and sharks teeth cut from cardboard and painted in the grill area. Seems like it may even had some kind of small wing on the back. But, it was a monster sleeper. It had the rocket 455 motor( torque monster) that was built, stall converter, the works (close to a race car with quite exhaust).

Is there such a thing as ghetto rice?

That thing would kill the new mustangs and take their money every weekend.

To top it off the guy looked like a huge nerd driving it anyway. Sometimes he would wear like a trucker's hat, thick glasses, bushy hair, looking re re . When he launched from a red light, it almost looked like it was going to pull the front wheels.It was pretty comical.

Not a 4g63 but a 4g67.... i owned 2 of these...

Essentially the same engine... close enough, anyway. The 4G63 will drop right in, or you could just bolt the turbo bits to the Sonata engine.


And that crazy style is Bosozoku... big in Japan, but they're not daily drivers. They're purposefully outlandish. I wouldn't say it counts as "rice", because each car is essentially a rolling sculpture. The ones that are done well, while they're TERRIBLE cars, are pretty awesome displays of creativity.

And they're done extremely well, the Japanese put insane amounts of money time and effort into those cars. They don't do things half assed like a lot of Other people would. Some of the more mild bosozoku are pretty awesome
