When you drink tequila, you tend to drink a lot of it to party or whatever.
Hence, it's usually associated with parties and slutty women.

    * Absinthe might be an exception, but only because hallucinogenic things are added to it.
So... let me get this straight. The ingredients with it make no difference? I wish we had some evidence because Im still doubting it makes a difference.

I said tequila too because that’s the most common reference for this topic.

Also Absinthe that you buy in the US doesn’t contain wormwood. The hallucinogenic in Absinthe. I think over in Europe it has wormwood.

      Wormwood.
And even the absinthe that contains it doesn't really have enough to be hallucinogenic.

I’m an idiot. Ill fix that. I must be dyslexic!

Also I didn’t know that it wasn’t enough to make you see shit.

Who wants to hallucinate anyways? That sounds like something one would want to avoid.

In short, it boils down to what you have, how much, and how fast you have it?

Interesting that this shows up today. I normally drink darker, heavier beers, like stouts and porters, and the only domestic that I like is Pabst Blue Ribbon. Vodka makes me vomit and gives me nasty hangovers, and whiskey is my preferred hard liquor. Lately I've been drinking a lot of mixed red wines, and I've noticed that I think they make me a different drunk than that of everything else.

Doing some research, it looks like the active ingredient in alcoholic beverages is all the same: ethanol alcohol. That's what makes you buzzed, like everyone before me has said. That said, the other ingredients in the different drinks do interact with your body as well, and I'd suspect something "natural" like wine has more stuff in it to interact with your body than say distilled liquors. I suppose beer and scotch [whisky] could follow the same logic as wine.

Dunno. I don't really like to get black-out drunk anyway. I drink enough to get me buzzed and make me talkative, and then I'm good!

To my knowledge, that's the only difference. Hard liquor hits "harder" because you're drinking the alcohol in a less diluted form. Beer and wine have much less alcohol by volume, so you drink more. Beer is heavy, loaded with carbs, so it fills you up. Wine is fruit juice, lots of sugar, so it can make you feel sick faster.

To my knowledge, the effects of alcohol, regardless what type, has the same effect on the body. I may be mistaken, though. I've studied the effects of many substances on the brain, but I haven't gone into depth with much of it.

Its really the difference in the % of active alcohol in the different type of booze. A higher % with the similar amount of consumption most likely will let you show your real colors.

So basically its really what the drink is its how strong it is and how much you consume

when i get drunk, i get drunk...i usually end up breakdancing if the situation is perfect.

when i cross fade, thats when i become a gentlemen. ill use my manners, ill become the guest of the house even if it isn't my home. then i usually pass out before everyone else.

either way, i am happier but i usually regret it in the morning.

I just drink tons and tons of water before I go to bed. I almost never regret it the next day. I regret having to pee every 2 hours throughout the night... but I always wake up feeling fine the next day! Most hangovers are nothing more than dehydration.

In my experience, you act the same on either liquor or beer. I used to hate beer. Wasn't into the taste, plus liquor was quicker. What I've noticed though, is I drink more liquor because it doesn't seem like I've "had enough". So I'll pound shots and be into my 5th shot before I'd normally crack open my second beer. Beer is a more relaxed buzz that I've come to enjoy. Plus I've acquired the taste for it.

Actually, I'm sipping on one right now lol.

for the most part i act the same...but it all depends

drinking with a few friends at home gets boring and depressing.

if im out and able to interact and do some people watching (at a club, bar, restaurant) then its much more enjoyable.

after about 6 beers, ill be ready to call it quits, once the spins set in....im not able to shotgun beer, it'll make me puke on the spot.

whereas i can drink a 26 of vodka in under an hour and be bombed outta my mind but wont puke....but once i get the spins, i call it quits.

for some strange reason, everyone always tells me to eat big before i drink...i cant do that though...if i plan on drinking (such as tommorrow) i'll eat as little as possible. i'll be able to drink more, last longer if i decently pace myself, and ill be the only one in the morning who remembers anything about what happened...which is good cause all my friends come running to me for info lol

Thats me, I can get drunker than shit on mixed drinks. But I get sick If I get drunk on beer and it gives me the shits the next morning. Not fun.

I like to be out at a bar if Im going to drink. Drinking at home isnt fun to me.

In my experience, beer just makes me lazy. When I drink beer, we just sit around and play pool or just bullshit. With vodka or any type of liquor, we get rowdy/loud etc etc. Normally something gets broken, and lots of laughs are had.

I wish I could trade my heart for an extra liver, just so I can drink more and care less.
