Help me clean off this Motorcycle Glue....

Ok. This weekend's project involves fixing my brother-in-law's bike he wrecked because hes a MORON.... but Im having trouble getting the adhesive off the back of the fairing so i can fiberglass properly (The fairing is the plastic panel on either side or the front of the bike. the fairings are lined with shock absorbing, flame resistant foam... i got the foam off but the adhesive itself is stuck stuck stuck)

This stuff is mad sticky and I'm tired of my razorblade and sandpaper

does anyone out there have any tips to get this glue off before i go completely nuts ?

    Thanks : )

        goo gone, gasoline..., kerosene

alcahol will get it as well...
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

You like the chick that really got into this site... I swear you should open up a shop.

Try GooGone. Maybe that will work.

Mayo my mom uses it to cut through anything sticky. Works better than goo gone for me!

Acetone will probably work. I never used it for anything myself, so I dunno firsthand.

'Lecrtic Shave (yeah, that's the actual name of the above mentioned product... it was the first thing I ever shaved with) may work. I never used it for that purpose!

Hey thanks for all the good tips... none of which worked

It's good to know, I guess, that this glue really does its job... almost too well

we can't even burn it off (of course, i didn't try this AFTER the gasoline ha ha )

....so its back to sandpaper and elbow grease for me

That stuff rocks. I got permanent marker out of a rug with it.

I bet acetone will work. I'm trying to think...its like nail polish remover. I used to use it all the time at work to clean up polymer spills.
