Initial D is what sucked me into the tuning world almost ten years ago. Check out Wangan Midnight if you ever get a chance.

We've got a thread going about the most recent season now.
It's better in Japanese, though the newer dubs are decent. The old dubs from a few years ago released by TokyoPop are absolutely terrible. They destroyed the show.

I watched Wangan Midnight, but it didn't affect me like Initial D did. It looked nice, the races were exciting... but I didn't care at all about the characters, and the story seemed to go nowhere. I can't even recall if I watched all there was to watch, or if I just lost interest!

Love Initial D, but netflix was always slacking on shows so went to hulu.

About a month ago i was working on a repo at the shop and stumbled on 4 CD's of the Initial D sound tracks, not exactly my taste but ya can't argue with free stuff. It was found in a v6 sn95 mustang to beat all lol.

            Nice!
I actually really like much of the music from the earlier episodes. I've downloaded much of it. It was a perfect choice for the show... and it's fun to drive to!

I used to show up to street racing meets listening to The music. If you torrent you can get every episode easy.

I am actually about to go watch Fifth stage episode 5 and 6... grabbed the "Webrip" torrents from TPB last night.

I don't know why they never release the games over here, but for the PSP (Original), there was a Initial D game "Street Stage", thats all in japanese (except the music audio track is mainly english), but its definately playable once you learn the order of the menu's; and its EPIC! Then theres an "Extreme Stage" for the PS3, that I would love to get my hands on (have to own a ps3 first though).

EDIT: It appears as is theres an Initial D for almost every Sony platform... and they never release them here.

EDIT 2: 10 minutes into Episode five, and I just want to say the translations suck

anime44.com has it in great quality. All in order to with engine SUB.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
