    long drive

I started my drive to MN today for my new job, ended up driving the coupe. I'm about an hour from Joplin MO so making good time and getting good gas mileage. I'm in Oklahoma for another hour.

Not sure where I'll rest at yet, going strong until I run out of energy.

Glad to hear the CB is doing good.

Yeah she's running great. Averaging over 30 miles to the gallon at 75-80 miles an hour.

Nice! When I drove to Portland I got 424 miles from a completely full tank, and most of that was 75-80 and thru mountain passes.

Gas in Texas was about $3.04/gal gas in Oklahoma has been about $3.40/gal. I did manage to find gas as low as $2.98/gal making that the first time in years I paid less than $3.00/gal.

$2.98/gal was on shell gas in Muskogee, OK.

Enough of a break back on the road.

That's awesome man, glad to hear it. I know I wish I could say the same about my car, but I don't think I'd trust her to make such a long trip. I'd definitely be a bit antsy if that situation ever arose.

I'm in central Iowa just south of Des Moines. I have driven 35 all the way many times but this time I went up 75 to 69 to 44. I went through Joplin and Springfield then Kansas City. After that I got on 35.

                  Much more scenic this time.

Gas in MO was around $3.14/gal. Gas in Iowa so far is $3.35/gal.

I'm on the home stretch. CB7 running like a champ still.

glad you made it safe! my car would never make it on a trip that far, she seems to barely make it between Gainesville, FL and Ocala, FL.........(about 70 miles round trip)
1997 Ford Explorer V-6 AT (what a piece of junk)
1993 Nissan Sentra M/T (front end damage, off road for now)
                          1999 Mercury Mountaineer V-8 A/T - RIP (rolled: totaled)
1992 Honda Accord A/T EX - RIP (transmission shot: sold to junkyard)

Well before it's all said and done I've got nearly 2000 miles under my belt just the last few days. I changed the oil before, that was at 215,000 MI end of day today it will read over 216,700 MI.

                            Averaging 29.9mpg.

                            MN gas is expensive...

OH I also peed in a cup to get a job.

It honestly worries me how much you guys lack faith in your vehicles lol. I planned to take my cavalier which is falling apart, and drive to Cali and back. 161k on the clock and ticking. I honestly feel like my car could do it.

Once my cb is running again I would feel confident in that vehicle too.
