Now as tuners and car enthusiasts we all work on our cars. Whether its outside or indoors we each know what it feels like of a death of a tool. The reaction omg I gotta go here to buy another one its ruined, forget it this goes for wrenches screw drivers etc.
Well I've got some good news there is a way to salvage certain tools if not most with simple products you have in your home which are very effective. For one you can use vinegar believe it or not.
You can use applecidar vinegar which has a certain percent acid rate high enough to pull the rust off safely effectively as it mixes in with the rust and created an oxidation effect. The same thing with coco cola soda.
The only thing is you can and will have to was to wait atleast 24 hours or more for it to really reverse the damage to some extent. Its cheap easy and effective a little elbow grease will help for that added effect. This is the safe method
Step one use the applecidar vinegar pour that into a plastic or glad container strong enough to hold the tools into the container. Let the container sit with the tools in it for 24 hours or a little more depends on you. Then put the lid on it so it doesn't stink up the place.
After the times up wrince it over the sink under some running water and add baking soda to it to break off the rest of the particles let it sit for a couple minutes 15-30 minutes get a wire brush to get the excess ruse off then hit it with some wd-40 or rustoleum and you should be good for the next use.

Then you can use electrolysis but I wouldn't recommend it. Whatever you do do not smoke when trying this method. I consider this to be left up to folks with a well ventilated area with added safety.
