well, everyone knows ive been looking for a new car and today my girl and i went and bought a new car. its a 2002 vw passat wagon gls. i love it. its got the 1.8 turbo engine and its green and ill post up some pics soon. im still gonna stay here however unless you all decide i must leave. its still under warranty and we got the extended warranty but hopefully it wont be needed. toodles.

1.8T? Hmmm...sounds like you might need a little more boost on that thing. Look into the chip market, there's some total crazyness available for those motors.

The 1.8T is a very nice all around motor. IF you plan to mod don't just chip it and forget it. Bolt on's FIRST, then worry about chipping it Add a catback and perhaps a few other little mods and you'll see HP jump up a good 20-40hp and still retain decent mileage.

thanks guys. the transmission is the tiptronic 5 speed transmission which is really auto and kind of manual. my bro calls it a his and hers shifter. regardless, im in love and i am really wanting to put on an exhaust and intake and get a chip, but im going to have to wait as maria(fiance) says negative for now. it was 12980. hooray for monthly payments. bah, its the first nice new car ive ever had and its going to get babied. good day good sirs.

Blah... that's a beautiful car, but after seeing one of those burst into flames, I just can't get excited! Be careful with it, and make sure you do things right... That can be a monster machine, as long as you treat it with respect.

That his/hers shifter blows... yank it for a REAL manual! That tiptronic crap is horrible... you'll be dealing with transmission lag AND boost lag! Total crap...
