AIM Crap

Anyone have problems with AIM anytime... as far as it changing your password?

In the past few months, I will have my computer online, and just chillin. And then it will sign off. When I go to sign back on, it says password is invalid. And whaddya know, the password is some funky crap when I do the "forgot my password" button when logging in.

So is it just me with this problem? I had my last SN for about 6 years.. until the same thing happened, but my email was an old one that I couldnt get to, so I couldnt get the email to reset the password.

Its getting pretty annoying.

I use GAIM, you should try it, it's especially helpful if you have multiple accounts with different messengers. Consolidates it all.

I use AIM...It logs me off occasionally but it lets me re log on so dunno.

Well I use miranda...

nice because it doesnt hog memory, pretty much runs in the background. No adds or crap, and supports all the messengers. I downloaded another firewall, so we'll see what that does for me.

yea i use gaim. if you're talking to multiple ppl at once its awesome because there is only one window with multiple tabs for everybody.

I got this Hack for my aim and it happens occasionaly(sp?)

Mine got changed on me a year or so ago.... dunno how it happened, but it got changed to random letters and numbers.

Luckily I had the same email addy still, so I could recover it.

I have DeadAIM using AIM 5.9 from probably 2002. It tabs chat windows, doesn't have ads, and logs convos. I've never had any issues with it. I suppose you could contact AIM somehow and explain out the situation and see what they do.
