They have this on some of the other forums that I'm on. I'm not sure how it'll work out here, but this is what it turns into on other boards...
-People trade rep each other to increase their power.
-If they don't like a person, they neg them for whatever reason (even though it's supposedly not allowed).
-It turns into a flame fest.
-People don't listen to other people's posts if they're in the red (green = good, red = bad), regardless if they have good advice or not.
-The people with the highest rep power pretty much control what goes on. Sad to say, but people are afraid to go against others word because they'll get negged and their reputation will be tainted.
I could see it working out on this forum, if anywhere, though. It would especially work for the sales/classified parts. But it could also go sour. Who knows... if it works, great. If it doesn't, maybe ditch it? All up to the mods and Deev.Comment
