kk i need some help with my math

so i just need to know how to find the answers for these questions:

1) 3 (25x2) X5 - 10 =

now i keep gettin an answer of 55...but the choices to choose from are 30, 20, .30 ....how is that?

2) how do i convert things into fractions?
ex. .25 = 1/4th, 0.375 =? how do i turn it into a fraction?

that is all!

i need help with this stuff asap...math was never my strong point!!!

the area of a circle is (pi) times r (radius) squared.
i dont think you typed the first problem in correctly. right now it reads:
three times a quantity 25 times two all times 5 minus 10 so we get
3(25x2)x5 -10
3(50)x5 - 10
150x5-10
750-10=740
check over the problem and see if you can type it better

as for problem b, take the decimal out and put it over its square of 10 (10 for tenths, 100 for hundredths, etc). you can then reduce the fraction.
for example:
.375

(375/1000) divide by 5 (75/200) divided by 5 = (15/40) and continue until you get 3/8

i did read this weeks chapter, i even payed attention during the lecture, but like i said, math to me is not my strong point. im a visual learner, i need pictures and stuff so i can relate it easier. when the instructor just says it...its basically gone in...and then its gone.

its written right, 25x2=50, 5x3=15 - 10 = 5 = 55 :s thats what i come up with...dont know how to get the answer which the book has provided...

um are you sure its not solve for X .. this problem doesnt make sense... rewrite the problem exactly from the book one more time.. i somehow dont think your writing it down correctly either

3 (25x2) X5 - 10 = (3x25x2x5)-10 = 750-10 = 740
I don't know how u can end up with any of those answers...according to the question shown there I got 740

2)

0.25 = 25/100 = (1x5x5) / (5x5x4) = 1/4 (25 hundredth equals 1/4)

0.375 = 375/1000 = (5x5x5x3) / (5x5x5x2x2x2) = 3/8 (375 thousandth equals 3/8)

yes thats all, im pretty sure that the " - " is a typo, cause the teacher made this booklet, theres even spelling mistakes in it heh...

i may not be super great at math, but i know how to do basic broblems like this one....and its just stumping me...i gotta wait till my dad gets home i guess...hes a math whiz...but by time he gets home ill have to go to school

That problem's gotta be a typo. I just ran it myself and got 740.

It's 3(25*2)*5-10

Thus. 25*2 = 50 * 3 = 150 * 5 = 750 - 10 = 740.

I don't feel so bad now because I got 740 too. LOL! Since so many other peole got it that I KNOW are smart, I feel fairly confident.

If you use P.E.M.D.A.S. you get 740.

If those are the 3 answers he gave you, then something is wrong or missing, because you can't get any of those 3 using legal operations...
