If someone sends me a dollar, they get contributing member status. That doesn't make them better than anyone else. They aren't buying stock in the board. They don't have partial ownership in the board. They're helping out. That title lets them be recognized for it. I would like to think that someone who cares about this site enough to part with some cash would WANT to retain a respectful atmosphere.

If I started showing favoritism to anyone who has donated money to this site, it would be rather unfair, don't you think? It turns a donation into bribery. I appreciate donations, but they are just that: donations. That title doesn't come with any special privelages or considerations.

Honestly why do the people here insist on talking smack just because they can? I don't think many of you would do the same thing in person. I'm with deev on this 100%. if you can't live by the rules (and to be honest they aren't as bad as some other message boards rules) then you need to take a break from forum life for a little bit. And also take a step back and ask yourself how YOU would want to be treated if someone was talking to you (be it here or in person).

I've took a little break from this forum for a little bit just because I needed a little break. But that's beside the point. I also don't like how this forum is turning into some a forum playground. It was never that way when I first came here. infact I left SHO long ago because I couldn't take the bs that was going on there. Recently I posted there and posted some very useful info in mikeSHO's thread on brake rotors. He not only deleted my message but treated me like some dude that doesn't know a lugnut from a bolt. but I'm getting a little too far off topic. What I'd want this place to be is a place we can share infomation and do it in a manner that doesn't make this forum look like a kiddy flame fest.

Remember when you post here you not only speak for yourself but you also set the tone for what this forum is all about.
