Most under-rated "tuner" cars?

Here's another one of my "gimme a list" threads

I was thinking about the CB7, and how it's really not a tuner car of choice for most (except us, of course!). However, that doesn't mean it has no potential! Sure, it's not as light as a Civic, doesn't handle quite like a sports car, and gets the sloppy seconds in the aftermarket world. Still, for what we have to work with, the CB7 is quite a contender.

What other cars would you guys say fall in the same category? Cars that have more potential than they're given credit for...

3rd gen preludes dont get much love, Nissan Sentras (every now and then i see one properly modded), Mazda Protege (not really a tuner car but tuneable), Mazda 626, Toyota Corolla/Camry.

I heard on those you can swap a first gen DSM in there with a few modifications.

Yeah, you can... it's even easier to do the DSM swap into an Elantra. 4G63t into a 2500lb Elantra = turbo Civic With a more reliable motor.
