You're right. There is the f2b kit which allows you to bolt in 4th gen Camaro pedals, pricy however. My plan to is get a 98+ S10 NV3500, since the shifter location is ideal, the gear ratios are decent, and they can be had cheap. The slave cylinder is the same as a later T56 so I can use all Camaro hydraulics.
Ford rear sway bar installed today. The components that went into the install:
17mm rear bar and new endlinks scavenged from a junkyard 98 Mercury Grand Marquis, and Prothane universal 17mm bushing kit. Fairly easy install, hoping it'll tighten up the handling.
My friend's father had a Caprice wagon with the police package, which I guess was a rather rare beast, but I remember it having a real neat rear suspension setup.
This would be the perfect vehicle for a killer sleeper.

No air ride, this is actually a low optioned OCC. Still has a tach cluster tho which is great.
The police package (1A2) Caprice wagons are quite rare, GM only sold around 200 of them every year from 91 to 96. I found one for sale in NYC, it had 50k miles but looked like it had been sitting in one spot outside for a long time. I wanted a driver not a project so I skipped it.
