I always thought lowering an SUV or truck was a waste, they loose the off-road ability and it is done generally all for looks. It's not like he is going to race that tank and needs the handling capability or aerodynamics advantage.

But that is my opinion, on topic:

I'm not familiar with that model of truck, but does it have leaf springs or struts in the rear and independent suspension in the front or solid axle? I have done the opposite and lifted a few trucks, some of that may apply.

Most likely he can get away with drop spindles and leaf spring U clamps and keep the rest of the suspension intact.

    Lookup Ground Force and Belltech.

He's probably looking for a 3/4 drop which would be spindles in the front, hanger and blocks in the rear. It's been about 2 years since I lowered one. The cheap way out is springs/blocks, but the drop spindle rides so much better

First off, is his truck 4wd or 2wd. They also have a 2wd off road edition which has a torsion bar set up in the front. Determine if it is torsion bar or not and we can go from there.

Also, when chosing a rear drop block, I wouldn't go with aluminum, honestly. I have seen them malfunction.
