    h22 cb7 Vs h22 eg

Ok This guy wants to race my car. He thinks he is big shit and all.

    This is what he has.

    93 Eg Si hatch
    h22a 1994 all stock internals.
    P2A5,or P2U5, or P2A4 tranny with LSD. 3.307 1.809 1.185 0.903 0.685 3.000 4.062 I cant remember which
    No back seats.
    15 C-10's 205-55-15 Kuhmo Ecsta
    CAI
    Stock header
2.25" exhaust with factory style cat
chipped p-13 ecu. This is what he says
    A/C, power steering removed
    Balancer belt removed

    What I have

    91 cb7 2door coupe dx
96 h22 usdm all stock internals
m2f4 usdm 4th gen non lsd tranny
    205-55-15 Cooper zeon 2XS on Prelude Si's
    CAI
    Stock header
    2.22" exhaust without a cat
1/2 chipped p28,, hard to explain
no power steering, DX doesnt have all that extra stuff
    no a/c

I have rode with him and his car sounds like its hauling ass but he really isnt getting anywhere. I tried to see what his speed was each time he shifted but he has a jdm cluster.

Over all the motors are about even. He doesnt have a balancer belt and I dont have a cat. His car isnt extremely lighter then mine. I have to go weigh it this weekend. I have better gears then he does. He has LSD.........

I have this race set for this next week since Im hitting up the NW bc7 meet tomm.

    WHO YOU THINK WILL WIN?

Post your choice. I will give 100% honest feedback. after it happens.

the hatch would win but then he wil have a bunch of understeer/oversteer. close race but on the highway he would win. CB = more traction since heavier. Hatch = less tractions unless he has some good tires which he doesn't he'll spin out more. but hope he's not a good driver lol. good luck
either kill it or drift it...

Do a 50 shot if you wanna be ontop of the situation and you should be straight just dont let him see the bottle thats all.

Hatch probably weighs in the 2400 lb range, maybe less. The CB's in the 2850-2900 range, depending on what's in the car.

Power:Weight is going to be a big factor. Obviously race conditions and driver ability will play a role.

But all things being equal, the hatch's lightness will prevail more than likely.

Race him and come back with a story. Nobody cares about bench racing.
Every time we get a thread like this, people argue about who SHOULD win, and the race never seems to actually happen. Theoretically, he has the same motor as you in a lighter car... so he should win. However, you never know until you actually race. There's no point in even discussing it, since there is NO way to measure driver ability... aside from actually racing.

Locked. Feel free to post another thread after the race. Then we can discuss what it'll take for you to beat him next time.
