ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    92-93 Red/Clear Tails

Just a few months ago eBay was flooded with these averaging $50.00 a set. My passenger outer is full of water so I figured I'd just buy a new set and re-seal them since the factory seal sucks. I found them for close to 100 on some site, I see the 90-91s... but not the 92-93s.. am i blind or did they become rare or something?

they are a lot harder to find these days. ebay rarely has them, it's more of online companies that still carry them and prices are rather high.

I know what you mean! It took me a while to find mine. Do a search on google and there should be some one out there that sells them at a decent price!

I have heard the seal on the aftermarket tails is not great but you might also want to check the gasket on the side that is leaking. I have also heard of some where the gasket not seating correctly was the problem and not the actual taillight. Some just bought a new gasket for cheap and fixed the problem.

ebay was flooded with 90-91 red/clears not 92-93....I know cause I keep looking...and I posted a thread about it.

You can find the early versions if you look, around $90
However the later version red/clears are VERY hard to find...usually around $130 but usually more.

Most likely gonna end up making my own using $90 chepo ugly one's from ebay.

Your other option is to buy cheapo ebay all clears, remove the cover, paint the top part red, then swap the outter clear piece onto your stock tail lights. Cost you about $90

i would suggest calling or e-mailing each one of those online retailers before making a purchase. i know for a fact that more than half of those sites are actually sold out, and have yet to remove them.

i bet if we got a group of buyers together, we could inquire depo with our interest and they *might* do something to serve us. heck, they're making a pretty penny out of a couple bucks' worth of plastic.

                it's worth a shot.
                My pictures/photos will return soon...

Yea. There is literally water in my light and it's turning the "clear" to brown. I was thinking of cooking it to brake the seal, cleaning it and re-sealing it but the outer flap was torn off when the car got painted so there is an ugly gap now. Maybe I can fab something up haha.

you'll just have to take 'em apart, dry...clean...polish...re glue and buy new gaskets...that'll keep the water out.

As to group buys, if it's under 90 I'm in...I can make my own for a little under 90...and the WOULD look kick ass

                          hi guys,

i'm wondering if i can do some help on this.
i can get new depo ones cause i live in taiwan
                          but i don't think they're cheap here.
the cheapest i find is about $75 without shipping.
i don't know how much it costs to ship to the us.
if some can tell me the weight of the lights
i'ii be able to calculate the postage.
according to my experience it may be arround $40 via air.
pls let me know if you need more information.
                          thank you.

they are def hard to come by but well worth it, ebay sells a bunch that also have defects or have usual light patterns(brake inside, driving lights outside, etc) backwards from how they r typically sold. Its really hit or miss, it much easier to either pay for the right1s or alter your stock ones
Its more than a hobby, it's a lifestyle!
