ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

EK9 Replica Wheels will fit ?

    Hi everybody !

First of all, sorry for my english, I am french so I will do my best !

    I currently own a CB7 sedan with F22 and 4WS
I want to buy new wheels for my car, but I am not sure they will fit on my car...

    http://shop.12tune.com/browse-by-par...da-models.html

    Stock wheels: 15*5.5 +50
    Futur wheels: 16*7 +42

From what I read allover the forum, I will think I will need spacer + Extended wheel studs.

    But what size ?

Thanks in advance for your reply

    Gauthier

If the bolt pattern is 4x114.3 they should go right in, The offset sounds good to me I'll let some of the more experience wheel guys chime in though.

      Yes bolt pattern is 4x114.3

      With the Offset calculator here:
      http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

      I get:
      Inner Clearance: 11mm LESS
Outer Position: EXTEND an extra 27mm

So I think a spacer of 10mm will be good !

But with this, the wheels will have an Outer Position of 37mm. Is this to much ?

I have had wheels with a +42 offset on my car with no spacer, and I only rubbed the inner splash guard (the plastic fender lining) when I turned the wheel almost all the way. You SHOULD be able to use those wheels with no spacers... though the 10mm spacer should work as well.

I am not fond of spacers, personally.

It should fit without any problem... if it does then all you need is a 5mm wheel spacer.

Those wheels look nice.. I wonder if they are avialabel in the US?..

I dont have a problem with spacers ( though not a fan of wheel adapters ) but 10mm is a LOT to space a wheel out, LOL. Im in agreement that 5mm should work fine and is not near as severe. GL

Mike, your wheels were 7.5" wide, correct? That's going to account for some of the rubbing.

I had 17x7 with a +40 offset and never had any inner fender rubbing. I had always heard on a 7" wide wheel, +42 was actually pretty ideal as far as offset was concerned.

A 5mm spacer is going to put you at +37 which depending on your ride height may result in you rubbing your outer fender lips.

I would test fit them without spacers first, then address the need if you see fit.

I think you guys missed this...

to OP: is your car lowered? if so, how much of a drop?

                    @deevergote: I don't like spacer too.
So I think I will buy those wheels and try without spacer! Will see

@HATCHing: Thanks! I don't know for shipping to US, but you should ask 12tune, they reply very fast.

@Accord214: Good question to ask! Currently the car is not lowered, but it will be soon. I plan to buy Bilstein B4 or B6 with H&R spring ( -40mm ).

Hey I'm planning on getting some new rims on my 1990 Honda Accord EX Coupe.

Here are the specs of the rims I'm looking at
                        Size: 15" x 6.5"
                        4x100/114.3
                        38mm offset

Inner clearance says 1mm less. is that good or bad? and outer position says "EXTEND an extra 25mm"

The offset is a little low compared to an OEM wheel, but the width will work on your favor for the inner suspension.

Basically what it means is that you will be 1mm further away from the inner suspension. The wheel will be 25mm closer to the outer fender.

You shouldn't have any problems with these wheels on a 6.5" wheel, but the worst case is that you'll have to roll the fenders.
