ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Interior conversion?

Hey, I'm getting a white '90 Accord LX Sedan in a few weeks (Free, woot!) and, eh, it has the blue veylor(?) interior in it. I was wondering if any CB7's came with a black interior and leather seats?

Either way it's going to have to be cleaned. Current owner is a smoker, and yeah. I was wondering that and how hard it would be to swap everything out, if anyone has done it before.

leather interior was a rare option on our Accords. in all honesty, they are really hard to find, especially in good condition. you'll just have to keep your eyes peeled i guess.

assuming the one your getting is a 4 dr

the 91 accord SE came with black interior and black leather
good luck finding a whole interior from one of those though

the 93 accord SE came with tan interior and tan leather and those are more common

i also have seen some cbs with maroon leather but those are super rare

Edited, heh. I suppose I could probably get them reupholstered in leather, if they're that rare. But you said the black interior is a pure rarity? Or just with the leather seats?

the black interior is pretty hard to find. not really that hard, but dont expect to just find one at every junkyard you go to! it'll just take some time and careful looking to find one.

the super rare interior is the maroon leather. ive never even seen a picture before. they do exist though. im sure a couple people on here have it.

if you want to get it re-upholstered, be prepared to dish out some money. i dont know exactly how much it costs, but its way more than just getting some that are already leather. it all depends on what you want to do.

you could also pull off a seat swap. like some Prelude or Integra GSR leathers. but custom work is in order to make these fit.

Yeah, I'm sure it'd be a lot to get it leathered. I kind of thought about the seat swapping, I'm sure I could get a friend to do a design of getting them to fit. (For lack of better wording) Machine shops ftw. The front seats at least, I don't know how the backseats install. Grey interior would suffice, I'll eventually go down to Beaver's Honda down in Moorseville and look around in there.

The only things I'd really be worried about is dash and door panel install. Anyone know how hard it is for the uninstall and install?

door panels are a snap, dash's on the other hand

I'm guessing it's really hard, or just annoying? Hm. Could possibly leave it and make some sort of black / blue interior with it, interesting idea. While I'm asking questions, so I won't have to make another topic about it (Or I could probably just search, lol) what's a good shop manual to pick up for it?

Well you could always paint with dupli paint. But as far as the leather you will more then have to do it your self like everyone says.

As has been said before, the only factory OEM leather colors were black and ivory. Black in the Silver 91 SE, ivory in the teal 91 SE and then the 93 SE.

There are cars out there with dealer installed leather in grey, maroon, and blue.

Any interior from a 90-02 Accord can be fit into a 90-93 model with some ingenuity, which I believe opens up more options as far as color. I want to say that you could get black leather in the 98-02 era. Obviously since your car is a 90, you will have to address some of the autobelt issues, but that can be dealt with.

Definitely opens up some options then. Think the search button / a Haynes (Or some other) manual could get me through the rest of my questions concerning this. Thanks guys

For some reason in the states Honda decided that the white Accords should have either maroon ('89-'90) or blue ('91-'93) interior colors. If you see Acuras from the same time period (Vigor, Legend) they came with black interiors. JDM and EDM Accords were available as gray interiors as well (leather and cloth).

Yeah, I think I'm gonna go with the seat swapping. Just gotta find something to do about the back, I want them to atleast kinda match, haha. And I was planning on all of that. Blue interior + black leather (Going for black atleast) might look kind of odd.
