ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

16 would look, but 17 would fill up more space with some 215/45

                  17's

i'm sittin on 17in volk racing c-ultras with a 215/45 and i'm lowered just over 2". they don't rub at all and i dont have much wheel gap. the only thing is the wheel offset is +44 and i have 10mm spacers bringin it out to +34. just somethin to keep in mind

How much camber are you running to not rub on a +34 and a 215/45 tire?

+42 is the ideal offset for an Accord, so by pushing them out, you're not helping your cause as far as trying to make them not rub.

I had a +40 offset on a 17x7 with a 215/45 tire and only had a slight rub under certain load circumstances.

would 205 45 or 40 be ok or should i just stick with 205 50

and that offset stuff is confusing...
could you explain them a lil

its funny because i'm not running a camber kit at all. i got my car aligned at a shop after i lowered it, then again at a shop after the shocks/tie rods/ball joints went on. i have a little bit of negative camber in the front, no even really noticable unless you really look for it, its wearing my tires a little bit on the inside but nothin serious. i also got tires with a decent tread wear rating so that might be part of it. i like a little negative camber it helps with turn in and gives me a little more cantact patch at higher speeds in the turns.
as far as the offset goes, its a measurement of how far the wheel sits out away from the hub(the smaller the number the farther out the wheel is). i researched offset and backspacing on a thread on here before i bought my wheels. it's pretty simple once you figure it out.

I think that the 17's with 215/45/17 would look great like someone said above

i think my offset is perfect, my wheels dont stick out past the fenders but they are pretty damn close to being flush. i kinda have a one-of-kind situation tho, let me explain. my wheels have a rays engineering sticker on them that says 4x114.3 with a +44 offset. when i got them they didnt fit for nothin, i was pissed. they rubbed on the inside with the 215's and on top of that the bolt holes didn't line up.WTF? so after a couple angry phone calls and some head scatching i figure out the wheels are actually drilled 4x100. the genius that sold them to me(saying they were for my car) got 10mm spacer/adapters with them and was tryin to make an extra buck so he failed to mention he had them at first. anyway, when all is said and done my car sits on gold faced volk 3 spokes with a 215 tire with no problems. to boot, i have spacer/adapter that allow me to run 4x100 wheels
