...to remove rust and primer a CB7? (BTW i live in Brampton, Ontario)

We all know the typical spots where a CB7 rusts (1/4 panel, trunk, etc.), so will it cost me a arm and a leg to have the rust removed and the car primered? Just asking this because im currently looking at buying a 1994 Accord for about 1500$, but the car has rust issues, and ive always loved the 4th gen Accord and ive found cheaper options.

Lol i meant ive found cheaper options with the 4th gen Accords then the 5th gens (1994-1997), so im debating whther its worth it to buy the $1500 Accord if doing this procedure is going to cost me a whole lot

it really depends on how extensive the damage is and how well equipped you are in your own garage. If you need to cut old rust out and weld in new patch panels that may not be something youre capable of. If its just surface rust you can probably dig most of it out with a grinder but then you need to paint. No one here can really tell you wether or not to go do it yourself since no one here knows your capabilities.

I had mine replaced and the car blended to match.

I had used OEM quarters cut out of another car rather than patch panels, so those ran about $250. I also changed out the trunklid and tail lights to the 92-93 style and added a spoiler.

My total cost was about $3000 with my labor cost being $2500. My car was also down for about 2.5 months. When I got it back it looked like there was never any bodywork done and the repair lasted me 2 years without any indication it was even starting to rust again.

I'm getting my complete paint job done for about 800$ but that's only because the body guy is a good friend of my dad :P I will also have to assist him of course which is good because I will learn. Maybe he'd do it for friends of a friend too :P

well heres my situation.. i need 2 new quarter panels, 2 new inner wheel wells on the back, and i need 2 new doors like passanger side and its gona be like 4000$ just for the panel work, then the rest of the rust removal who knowssss

I think you should just come to AZ in the US. ALL the accords here have no rust. In fact no car has rust issues here, just issues w/ paint fading since the sun is so damn bright. But yeah my car's quarters are in perfect shape. So it might be worth it to buy the car here and drive/ship it up there. b/c what are the chances you'll be able to find a completely rust free car in Ontario? And QP rust costs how much to fix the right way? like 3 grand? damn.
