ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Led on spoiler issue

Hello folks I have a 93 accord with a 91 se spoiler on it. My problem is when I hooked it up My brake lamp indicator comes on and stays on as soon as I hit the brakes. Also my 3rd brake light no longer comes on. The main problem I have is my spoiler lights are not as bright as they should be. Has anyone had this issue before with plug and play? If so please fill me on on how to fix this issue. Thanks
To jdm or not jdm that is the question

The harness disables the 3rd brake light, as there is one on the spoiler.

To fix the brake lamp on your dash, you need to replace the small box in the passenger side tail lamp with one from a car with a dealer installed spoiler (or the one from the SE that you took the spoiler off of).

^Exactly what I was going to say. My '92 EX Coupe came without a spoiler. I found one at the JY for $20 and it all hooked right up. I believe the EX and SE models had the brown box on the inner tail light. Mine was plug and go. Very easy! I did find that the spoiler made the trunk lid very heavy and the stock torsion rods had to be switched to the ones off of the salvage car.

FWIW when I added a spoiler to my 89 SE-i sedan it came from a coupe since sedan versions weren't offered. As I recall I had a similar issue but my fix was a quick & dirty.

I simply left the incandescent bulb plugged into the CHMSL and pulled it out so it wouldn't show through the window... worked well for many years.

Does that harness also control the power antenna, or is that a separate harness? It might be good for the OP to grab that while he's in the car if his antenna is still working.

When I installed my aftermarket OEM style spoiler I just tapped the 3rd brake light circuit. I ended up with redundant 3rd brake lights, which some people may or may not like. Never ran into any issues doing it, but if I had the ability to have an OEM setup, I'd much prefer that.
