Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    speaker size ( yes another one.. confusing! )

    Hi, I know there's already some topic on the speaker size. but some says it's 4" or 5¼" in front, and they fit 6.5", id like to know what is the speaker size ( STOCK ) on a 1991 EXR pls... i want to replace them cuz they are dead ( sound is so bad ). Thanks a lot !

      HA HA HA worried about speaker size. I say, as long as your not putting sub's in your doors then you whould be ok with anything. Just depends on how much fabrication you want to be doing. Example I have a 5 1/4 in the front and 5x7 in the back. It took some time, hard work, and percise measuring/cutting but the speaker fits into the standard holder and no one can tell I have Infinity kappas except for the tweaters I built into the rear seat and front door.
      Anything is possible with hard work and "inspiration" .
      Been a long time. Still alive...

        easy, take the speaker out and viola you know what size it is!!

          technically their 5 inch speakers , but the pods are made of plastic so you can cut the hole slightly biger and fit a 5.25 ...

          In Need of an engine, just a basic f22a...pm me if you have one willing to part with.

              it's not, but you can fit them easily. take the entire plastic pod out of the door and cut some 3/4" mdf rings to the size of your speaker. plain and simple.

                I just put some 6.5" Kenwoods (I got them for free, leave me alone...) in the front of my LX Wagon. I didn't even have to modify the holes that the mount screws were placed. Very nice...

                      Well, my '92 LX has 6.5s in the back as well....I think the SE has the 6x9s.

                          LX:

                          Front - 6.5
                          Back - 6.5

                          DX:

                          Front - 6.5
                          Back - Optional

                          I just replaced the front speakers on my EX with 4" ones. My LX has been fitted with aftermarket 6.5's the whole way around. No custom fitting was done to either of these installs.
