ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

it was still i cant seem to get it over it...

I have all the screws off and such... it comes off from the original position but not much further. I can try to get it over the Ebrake but im afraid of snapping the middle part. I see the two screw's under there but they are a pita to get at with a reg size sdriver

I have searched this to death on CB7tuner.com.

Has anyone swapped the HVAC/Climate Control unit with the stock deck location?
I was measuring today and the climate control seems too wide for the stock deck location.
Also, someone mentioned that there is only 6inches of clearance depth in the climate control location as there are some pipes behind there.

I installed my stereo, the Sony Xplode MP3 player a while ago. Everything went fine. However, today I noticed the black trim around my headunit is cracked from the top to bottom. It looks like some one is trying to pry the unit out. Also last week I found bent screwdriver below my car and I was wondering what that was about. I am wondering if some one was really trying to take my headunit? I don't see any sign of forced entry on the doors nor locks. My car does not have an alarm but just the Club on the steering wheel. Could this be just crack from the heat and age of time?
My car is a 1990 Accord LX Automatic.

                          Question,
I have the American International, HON-K830 kit, is that what you have in the pics?
Also, I don't see you mentioning how to secure the stereo with the new pocket "thing" into the dash. Did you just push it in and that's it? No screws securing it?

I had my Sony with the Walmart kit and that did not seem to fit well. So I pushed and jam it in there and that took some time. Some one tried to steal my stereo and b/c I jammed it in there he could not. The bad thing was the black plastic trim around the stereo and the Walmart pocket thing is cracked when he tried to steal the stereo. I want to take the instrument panel off and epoxy the cracks and use the new HON-K830 kit to install the stereo again. The instructions with the kit is very confusing. Too many parts with the HON-K830 kit. It does not seem simple like the one you are using in your instruction here.
I also need to replace the mast of my antenna. I want to use a switch to retract the antenna when I am using my CD/MP3 player but I am afraid if I flip the switch to OFF, the antenna motor won't have any power to retract after the switch is turned off.

I have a cheap Sony found clearance at Fry's for $49, and I know some stereo will turn the radio off when the CD is in use. I wonder if my Sony Xplode does that.

                          Thanks.

I did not leave it unlocked. I know for sure. I am very careful. My car is in almost perfect condition. It's only have 125000 miles on it and it's a 1990. The first owner parked indoor for 17 years and very few minor scratches.

                            Thanks.
