ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Aside from the hole, and hinging the trap door and side piece, I didn't get any further than mock-up because of the warpage. The hinged side was my way of covering the entire floor of the trunk while still being able to remove the whole floorboard if I needed; it folded right up. Making it two layers and cutting the lower one just a bit smaller allowed me to use the top layer as a lip so the trap door sat flush with the rest of the floor. I'm definitely attempting this again with my next car, with room for a full-size spare (so no welded support, I'll figure it out )

Well it looks like your using some pretty thin wood... 3/8"-1/2" ??
All those cuts for your trap door and what not, ruin the structural integrity of the floorboard. I had an idea similar to yours, of using the lip of the second layer, so that the floor would close flush. But it's too tedious of a job for my level of patience right now! Lol.
definitely have to add some type of support. Especially with all those cuts. This job requires some strategic brainstorming! I'll eventually figure out the perfect formula, and write up a DIY

                                some updates

Whats up everybody. Thought id post a couple pics to keep the thread alive!
heres a couple recents from when i drilled and tapped the egr ports. They were pretty dirty, but still operational. I mainly just wanted to install a hondata gasket, but figured i might as well do everything i can while i have the manifold off...

I used a JB weld paste stick instead of the original 2 part white/black tubes. worked very well.

Also, finally added another ground, chassis to block. I just used a few washers and bolted the gound on one of the studs for the A/C compressor bracket. been meaning to do it since Ive relocated the battery. now i got good ground to tranny, head, and block.

A peek inside the HMO warehouse

my motor all packaged up for me in front of all the beautiful JDM front clips

And lastly... i just won a contest with the CaliAccordMeet organization. it was a simple facebook competition, just write about your Accord and what it means to you. It lasted about 3 days, everybody talking about theyer Accords. then i just got an email from them saying that i had won this falken prize pack! not a huge prize, but im still happy with it. just the fact that they chose my words over everyone elses, was a very good feeling! kind of like a little recognition. Im pretty proud of it

Oh yea... and i just so happen to be running Falkens on my cb right now :P
