ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

My Punk Rock Decoupage Sticker Bomb

Today I was watching an episode of Mighty Car Mods on Youtube today where they glued the pages of a manga comic on one of the fenders of a Golf and clear coated it...I was inspired haha. I took that basic concept since I had some sticky paper and a printer so I thought I'd do my trunk a similar way...But with old punk and hardcore flyers. Here's where I got before I ran out of ink:

This has also inspired me to go buy a car cover since I don't know how it'll hold up when it rains. I've been clear coating as I go and when I finish it, I'm gonna throw down a few more coats. I'll post more pics as I go.

I normally don't like sticker bombs but I'm actually digging the theme.

The sticky paper I used is starting to bubble up already haha. I'm gonna probably have to peel off about half of it and maybe try a spray adhesive...the good thing about it is because the nature of it, I wouldn't have to "start over". Just peel and fix as i go. But it is pissing me off. Doesn't look bad from a distance though. Just annoying as hell.

Hey now, it's not all punk. I see some metal in there too. I dig this over hello kitty sticker bombs or japanese stickers people have never even heard of. You should do it right though and have a vynil cutter cut some out for you.

Yeah man there is some metal in there (but speed and thrash haha, which fits in with the punk theme)...If I could afford that, I might strip it down and start over. I'm gonna call around and see what I can get printed and for how much. My only rule is no repeats. I know that vinyl stickers will adhere and last longer. I see mine holding up with basic maintenance. I did lose some of the driver's side on the freeway yesterday. That side was bubbling up and was a different brand. I also want to experiment with a spreadable glue. The spray adhesive I have is too messy. I just don't want it to be too "lumpy" because the glue is too thick.

Here's where I'm at with it:

everything past the Spy and Fatal sticker is of a different brand that doesn't seem to bubble at all. I might go ahead and strip everything and start again. I'll give it a week or so before I do that.

It might sound ghetto but I've been using clear packaging tape around the edges to kinda laminate it. Seems to be working pretty well so far. You can hardly notice the tape. I'm almost done with the whole trunk. Should have pics tonight. It looks SICK!!! Haha

Here is the "finished" product. Also got my rear window spoliler on today. My car is looking bad ass!

I'm digging it. Just a little concerned about the overall longevity of it. I'll just "fix as I go" and keep adding to it (only on the trunk). Fuck yeah!

Yep, still digging it. Mainly because of the theme. Just a thought, what about smoking it?

Its different. In a good way. I like the theme.

The longevity of it is my only question.
