But yes, if you want help..you gotta help yourself first. Then you notice, they get mad when you ask them to be more specific, and hell breaks loose, because honestly...sometimes you can't really understand what they're tryna say. Punctuation is what gets me. Hard to understand.

I don't know what I dislike more... the ghetto names, or the "f22acb7accordhondah22turboboostLXDXEXSE" names. Yes, you drive some variation of a 1990-1993 Honda Accord. We get it. Naming yourself after a car that hundreds of people on this very forum already have doesn't really set you apart from the masses!
Now, a lot of members that I like and respect very much have this type of name, and I don't look down on them for it... but come on... enough already!

Can I change mine?

maybe this dont apply here, but, i also hate when ppl talk in text, for example, heard BJ SHea on the radio say 'beeteedoubleyou'. Now, assuming we all know what a syllable is, does it not seem retarded that some one would say that instead of 'by the way" heard him do it twice, and i a guy at work does it too. totally ruins my train of thought.

I believe that WTF has evolved into more of a joking playful term for normal people, but it does have the same problem

Example: Normal Individual: friend of yours drops one of your glasses at a party , you say WTF mate. (or something similar) not because your pissed just a joking way to comment on the situation.

Example: High School Girl: so yesterday Tonya like stole my like boyfriend and I like was like WTF, she is such a slut!

I'm glad you guys implmented the "Don't say search" rule.

It got pretty annoying when all the threads in the search results just answered with "search".

yea that does get pretty annoying. You don't really see that here, even if somebody says search somebody after might have something to at least point you in the right direction.

yeah. ive been getting down on people about that. if their post even has search in it then i get them about it.

i dont think any new person should be told to search. if you know where the thread is, post up the link to the thread and let them look thru it. dont just say "if you search around you'll find it." i hate that crap.

If it's a general question, like "how do I put a turbo on my car?", then I direct them to the Forced Induction forum.

If they ask something more focused, I'll either answer, or link to a thread that does answer.
