JY trip FTMF LOSE!!

So I go to the local yard to see if I can find a tubular style manifold and rear disk brakes.

I found both...didn't have time to grab them though.

I asked how much for the rear stuff...

$450 was how much he sold the last one for

Might get them to come down if I only get the knuckles...I don't really want the springs and control arms...though I will need the two lower control arms no the R side.

But I still think they will overprice me...

Isn't that a little much for 94 rear suspension parts?

when i asked they wanted 150 for each side. so i waited till they had a 50% off sale and got both sides for a lil more than 100 bucks.

I thought about pulling JUST what I need and taking it up so they could SEE the parts...but I don't wanna pull 'em off and them still say like 300 or so...I figured 200 MAX and that would still be a rip off.

if they thought I wanted the sub frame too...think that might explain the high cost? I still would guess only 300...there is one other jy I can go to...guy there was pretty cool...longer drive but seems it'll be worth it...had more accords as well.

damn i coulda prob. got all that for under 100 at my yard. I always go the same day of the week regardless of sales so I always see the same guy and he gives me smokin' deals.

Hell for 450 I could get some BRAND new parts...that don't have worn ball joints and bushings.

I'm going to go back with like...a print out from majestic of EXACTLY what I need so I can show them without doing the labor, see what they quote me...I'll offer 100 see what they say...I mean I'm all for folks making a living...but this isn't even highway robbery...it's just insulting...

65 bucks total for both rear trailing arms/discs/calipers/knuckles from DA for CRX.


Good luck, you SHOULD be able to knock a lot off of that price.

I just did a majestic parts comparison...majestic is 105 more than what the jy is asking...again...I haven't taken my pics to the jy.

majestics price for BRAND NEW parts...552...jy 450...I smell a big stinky rat.

I'll post what they quote me with the pics showing them what I'm really looking at getting
