ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    fills up at 14 Gal...?

When my car shows its low on fuel and i mean by just the gauge not the low fuel light i fill her up but it only takes about 14 gal and maybe a half more at that but from the fluid capacity sticky it says 17 gal i've never once put it more than 14.5 gal and it lasts me a little over 300 mi to the tank any suggestions as to why the only thing i could think of is the float maybe be bad

at empty, you can still have 2-3 gallons of fuel. also you're fuel sending unit can be off a little. 14 gallons is about right on a fill up on E.

don't recommend pushing it like this, lol

The 17 gallons is bull. I have owned three cb7's and worked with one other. None of them have ever been past 15 gallons from empty

Meanwhile my integra (rated at 14 gallons) always filled right up to 14 gallons from empty.

Must be a misprint or somthing.

I have ran out of gas in my car before and not been able to put more then 14-15ish gallons in it

        *Edit
I typed the fuel pump clicked twice...I have no fucking idea why I typed that as it did not happen, light came on twice though...was I drunk??? LOL

I had to empty my take and pull it out of my wagon cause the car sat for 4+years before I bought it.

Had to get it dipped also to get the old varnished gas out.

After everything was done and put back in it took 12.8 gallons to fill it up minus the 5 that I put in to get it running so it holds 17.8 gallons total.

The light usually comes on when it is a smidge above the red line at E.

Mine use to come on all the time lol....i never worried as i knew that it actually holds 17 gallons but thats reserve...you will only pump 15 max.

15.9 is the max I've put in mine.
I ran out, somebody brought me 2 gallons, drove up the street (highway) to fill up and it took 15.5. So, I'd say about 17, with the other .5 going to replenish the lines,
