ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Texas Jean Co. They are made here in North Carolina. Their carpenter jeans have stood up well. They also seem to be made well.

Mountain Khaki's are also good. They are double kneed and have a double seat.

Polo by Ralph Lauren. My closet is loaded with it. My closet looks like I'm a model for him. I still even have shirts from high school, yes high school, that I still wear today in excellent condition. I'm taking about shirts that I bought in 1998. Seriously. I used to go major shopping every 6 months, but now only go once a year. In May I'll start shopping every season. Nevertheless, my closet is filled with his cloths, and the quality is the creme da la creme.

          Other companies:

          La'Coste
          Kenneth Cole
          DKNY
          Prada
          Nike
          Adidas
          Jordan
          Sean John Suits
          Armani

Gap and Old Navy for Jeans

          So many more to list.

I love my true religion jeans...I have 11 pair of them. For basic t shirts and shit, I stick with the basics, American eagle, nautica, chaps, polo, affliction. If its above 65 degrees, iam wearing khaki cargo shorts, either nautica or polo, seem to last the longest. More dressed up (iam not going too many places you can't we're jeans) I get most my stuff at the buckle. If I gotta wear slacks and a dress shirt ,polo. Just like the way it fits..I also buy most my clothes backwards. Summer stuff in fall, winter stuff in spring.

Work..since I wear shorts most of the time, lee dungarees..the thick cargo ones are the shit..work jeans..nautica.....or my old collection of hilfiger cargo jeans..lol....and t shirt with shop logo.

I used to be a clothing freak. Hat, sunglasses, shirt, and shoes all had to match. And the hat, shirt and pants had to be the same brand (if offered) when I was in high school, I owned okleys and spy's in every color they offered. will still get carried away sometimes(like buy 6 pair of shoe at the same time) but have calmed down...except when it comes to my 2 year old son...I got no problems splurging on him....he owns more polo clothes than I do..lol

I remember when Express was the women's brand, and Structure was the men's brand. Irritated the piss outta me when they just turned Structure into "Express Men". I stopped wearing their stuff then... not due to a lack of quality, but due to the fact that I'm not wearing a chick brand!

Carhartt is my favorite for pants/cargos/kahkis... Izod is pretty nice as well.
I hardly wear jeans because I hate squashing my nuts

Get some of those Ballroom Jeans!

I have a pair of Izod pants that I got for my birthday. Polyester, so they never wrinkle, and they'll never fade. I don't care if it's a "cheap" material... they look great! Sadly, I got too fat for them this summer, and I popped a button off. Gotta slim down and fix em.

I actually might look at trying some ballroom jeans. I own jeans but I just don't ever wear them. I have one pair from when I wasn't as big, that I actually like, and now that I've slimmed down I can wear them again. Sadly they are almost 10 years old and massively falling apart

When I dropped 60lbs (from 230 to 170), I tried some "skinny" jeans. That's what I get for having hipster friends... holy jeebus were they uncomfortable! Definitely bruised the ol' grapefruits the first time I tried to sit down.
I don't know how kids today were those skinny jeans, but the good thing is they may not be able to reproduce!

Where do you guys go for a new suit? I am in need of a new suit.

I Dont really care about a three piece much. Just mostly pants and a coat. Not really looking for anything flashy, just made well you know.

I bought 2 suits from Mens Wearhouse a few years ago. Cheap ones, but classic style. Kept neat and clean, they look fine for most occasions. I'll never impress anyone that really knows a quality suit, but it's good enough.
It was like 2 suits for $300. Good deal! (don't buy shirts or ties from them... they'll try to upsell, and that shit is expensive...)

i've had good luck with suits at some local resale and thrift shops (goodwill, dav, etc). get one for $15-20 that fits well, but maybe a little big in a couple dimensions and go have it tailored to fit. you'll spend more on tailoring than you did on the suit, but then it will look great on you. i have a 3-piece that ive been meaning to take the jacket in.
