ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

They might be expensive, but they last for a long time in terms of pants. Triple stitching, heavy material, comfortable and stylish!

Dickies are great as well. I shop here--->http://www.gandlclothing.com/?gclid=...FQpgMgodCGoAeg...
but I actually go into the store and not online...Great store!

I am just curious. What are Carhart Ripstops?

Carhartt Ripstops are a very heavy duty cargo type of pant. lots of pockets including one for my phone. They are multi-layered in the right places. I particularly like how they are not baggy like carpenter pants. I think they are nice enough to wear out to a club type scenario. I have.

not looking for any type of clothing specifically, just wanted a general consensus. i work in a shop, so it is good to have clothes that are durable there, but also i have a contracting job in which i am in an office environment installing equipment. i had bought some khaki pants for $20 and hadn't had them very long when the knee randomly split open, lol.

thanks for the responses. learned a good bit about suits and was also reminded about some good old fashioned brands that i had forgotten about. going to have to look into the ballroom pants, lol. later.

I bought some BKE Jeans at Buckle...but they cost me about 70 bucks for the pair. They were really soft and didn't have unnecessary brass buttons on the ass like you find at Kohls, that may look nice but hurt like hell when you go to sit down.

Too bad I outgrew those, after starting my new job I went from 150 to 185 in about 6 months time lol....thats what a desk job does i guess.

But I also had to buy new khakis and polo shirts for the job since its an office environment and I've had luck with Banana Republic clothing. The Chinos are really comfy as well as their polos, and pretty cheap too, I got them on sale for about 20/pair for pants and 15-20 for the polos, colors don't fade and they're still nice and soft.

I must be the only person that still goes to the mall, but American Eagle jeans have been treating me well. I've never had them rip or tear on me, but you can also buy them torn if you like that look....

Carhartt and Columbia are my hands down favorite brands for clothing though!
