ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I have all I need to get my car back on the road... but now it's freezing out, and I don't feel like working in the cold!

That’s normally how it works. When you finally do have the time and parts its cold or raining. That’s why I now have a shop!

Having a shop is nice for sure. I manage a 12000 square feet bodyshop that becomes my hobby shop in the winter. During the warm months a just work out my house. Having resources is definitely nice

I had it quoted a while back. Almost two thousand just to have new rear quarter panels welded in & fiberglassed.

Shouldnt be fiber-glassing anything imo. If they weld new panels in and then do you filler work. 2000 sounds about right if your paying a shop

i got quoted $2800 for ONE quarter panel. that was with new parts instead of JY shopping. how much should i pay for labor for a quarter. i found all the parts and am going to purchase them today actually.

I scored OEM panels on eBay of all places back in 2004. I had both sides done, and new inner panels custom fabbed. Panels were about 300 shipped (cut out of a car in AZ) and I spent $2,500 in labor to have them welded in and the back of the car sprayed. I didn't have the full car sprayed. I used the time to add in a 92-93 trunk lid and OEM spoiler.

I paid $650 to have my rear quarter patched (cut/weld, but just a small patch), and for the entire car to be resprayed. The rust came back.
                            Did it again.
                            Rust came back again.

welding is bad. body panel adhesive is good.
