ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Introducing my n00b self

I am a female vehicle enthusiast! Am I the only here...? Hope not!

Anyway, my specialty is building and customizing firearms, and of course recreationally shooting. I have a ton of my own firearms, my favorites are modern carbines.

I got into cars because of my best friend whose HUGE into modding/tuning introduced me to it, so now I'm taking a whack at it.

I've always loved cars, though I'm still n00b in the topic, just never realized some of that things I have now were obtainable until recently, and I'm quickly becoming obsessed!

Welcome to the site, the cb7 looks good! Post up more pics of it when you can, love the rear kit too. There's a few other females here, LadyG and Amanda to name a few. Enjoy your stay here.

Looking back on this post I realized I should have introduced my CB7 as well!

My 93 LX F22A automatic, named Beretta

Her story: I bought it off an old (like actually old) friend of mine at 150xxx mi clean title the whole 9 yards for just $500. Only needed a tune up and distributor. He was the first and only owner before I, and the car was very well maintained and was housed in a heated garage.

I owned it for about 8 months before I began any tuning/modding. I always loved the idea of car customization and building, but never actually realized how realistic and obtainable it was until I had met my now best friend whose been in the scene for years. (Her cars include a 97 Eclipse and 97 Celica and she wants to steal my CB7).

She taught me that modding and tuning can be realistically done, and so my obsession began.

I'd also like to note how much I'd love to have her be a stick, but due to left knee surgeries, it makes it much too uncomfortable to drive stick. If anyone has any leads on swapping to a slap-shift style, let me know because I'd love to have that instead of the basic "shifter" in there now.

Nothing stops that car, and I mean nothing, it never misses a beat even when you expect it to. Infact, it runs better now than when I bought it almost 2 years ago now. Any trouble the car gives me (which really isn't much, anyway) has been my own fault. I absolutely love this car, you take care of these CB7's and they will literally do nothing but give, give, give in return. It's like they were built to please you, indeed a loyal vehicle. Love it and it will love you back in sevenfolds. I am not ever getting rid of this car, I refuse to sell, trade, or give it away. It is mine until it goes for good, and I will try my best to keep that from happening. I've owned 3 vehicles prior to this one, and even completely stock it has by far been my favorite.

Some mods I have done (so far):

      Engine
-DC Sports 4-2-1 headers, full exhaust system w/ catback 2.5"
      -Cold Air Intake by Spectre

      Brakes:
      -ChromeBrakes drilled and slotted rotors

      Cosmetics:
      -Clear corner lenses
      -50/50 red-clear "JDM" tails
      -Carbon fiber trunk
-Carbon fiber hood (not currently on it but will be very soon waiting on some pins to come in)

      Interior
      -DSX "racing" wheel

Things I hope to get done in 2014:

Some more engine mods for HP boosts and overall better performance/longevity, though I'm still doing some research there so I can't name anything specific right now.

      Suspension:
-Adjustable coil covers (low for summer, back to monstrous stock height for winter, still researching brands)
-Entire new set of bushings (still doing brand researching)

      Cosmetic/Exterior
      - NEW MATCHING DOOR
      - Plastidip full body paint job in OD green (not painting carbon fiber and of course fixing all that damn rust)
      - Halo headlights
      - Rear window(s) tint
      - GET MY XENON "AGGRESSIVE" BODYKIT BACK ON AGAIN!!

      Cosmetic/Interior:
      - LED cluster/dash lights
      - LED dome/door lights
      - Vinyl Rogue Status pattern console/door panels
      - New seats hopefully but not counting on it

      Wheels:
      - 5 lug conversion
      - "Big brake" upgrade

And I'll prolly think of a ton more I want later as well.

I'm extremely new to this scene still (understatement) but I learn quick, so maybe even later I might ditch whatever I have now for something I have acquired a new taste/knowledge for. I apologize in advance for any questions I may ask that seem silly to you, but I promise, it's very confusing for me which I is why I turn for help. Work with me and I'll come up with wonders. One day.

I'd love to get all my stuff I want done now, now. But unfortunately like everyone else, money is a big obstacle here and it could take me longer than I really want it to. Especially while the car is 20+ years old and regular maintenance on silly things is fully required.

Hm, all I can think of right now.

        Welcome.
Wow what a steal on the CB. Very nice.

Knockoff carbon fiber trunk? Fitment looks iffy.

        RIP my last two CB7s.

In that photo I was still working on adjustments, it sits correctly right now. I had just installed it in that photo and hadn't worked on fitment yet
