Rare LX?

Hi I just purchased a 1990 Accord LX for $300 bucks in poor condition. it has 220k. The reason I think its might be rare is because it has some wierd 14 inch gold baskit weave wheels that have factory honda center caps, it also has a sunroof and the controls are on the headliner and it says ASC on it. so far I have replaced lots o stuff including 3 broken windows.

Never seen factory optioned gold wheels. But more than likely the sunroof is aftermarket but there were a few LX models that came with sunroofs. There is a member on here that has one.

There were a few REALLY weird optional wheels that are quite rare. I wouldn't be surprised if those are some. The sunroof is most likely aftermarket... but if it's not leaking, bonus!

Wheels may be off of older Prelude, my lude had weaved wheels(pos )
What do you have next to the cruise button? There should be a switch, thats the home for the factory sunroof switch, but if you have something else post it, PICS!!!!

The wheels were dealer option rims. They were the gold version of the ones HondaFan81 had on his red DX, before he replaced them with the 90-91 EX wheels.

The sunroof is definitely aftermarket.

i dont think his sunroof is aftermarket i have a sunroof that is in my 90 lx and every thing looks like its supposed to be there.

Then someone spent a great deal of money trying to put that in. I've never ever seen an LX with a sunroof that was factory. The roof supports are different as well. I'd be interested to see your headliner and where the switch is.

-Gold wheels were an option. Rare = Yes.

-Sunroof is aftermarket. Rare = No.

Overall, is your car Rare? = Nope.

i will try my best but i think u guys are right because the sunroof looks kind of funny

i am hoping to have both of my car picks in the next month my 92 ex is getting painted and my lx is running but not jus right i think its off time but any way ill try my best.

I know of a White '91 EX near my work that has white mesh 14" alloy wheels. That color was factory as well. I know someone that used to have the mesh wheels (factory) without color and had a dealer installed sunroof on a '91 LX as well. Technically not factory installed, but OEM. They had them add the OEM spoiler as well.

i wish i had an ASC button, those are cool... stands for Auto Sunroof Close... closes the roof when you shut the car off
