ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Of course I am. I don't hide that fact. I'm a scout because I believe in their product.

Now, I would appreciate it if you would stop trying to discredit me, and using your opinion as fact. If you don't like the idea, don't waste your money on it. The info is laid out quite clearly. If someone reads through it and determines that it is a good deal, then it's a good deal for them. I, for one, see value in this. You do not.

Deevs, I'm not tring to discredit you, or mess up your hustle, it's just that if I think someone is gonna get hit by a bus, I yell, "Look Out!" that's all. Just tring to look out for people. It's in my nature to do so. They've read your side, and they read mine. It's up to them to decide. But once again, I'm not dissin' you, I'm just not agreeing with your company's services. I think that if you were really into making your car look good, you should put money into your own ride. StickyDilJoe's 1992 Accord made it on the front cover of Honda Tuning Magazine with ZERO sponsors. How did he do it? He put his own money into his own ride, 89 bucks at a time. -g

hay bro, funny that i check my email and the site and i see this. i just got an email from them saying that they might want to sponsor me. yet i still am not to sure. besides, from what i heard from alot of people the companies that sponsor you dont do any enigne work what so ever. or at least i heard. im not really into body kits or lights blah blah blah. im more of motor and keeping it a sleeper.

my car on the outside looks like crap. im saving up for the big H swap. but along the way ive been takeing care of this engine.

so honest advice from you. and anyone here. would it be worth it even applying for my ride.

They have companies like Fidanza in their lineup... There are some performance parts, though you won't get those right away. You always start with the cheapie stuff, unfortunately. They can't afford to give good stuff away to every kid that applies! But show you're serious and they will take care of you.

The best sponsorships I got were for audio and lighting. Things I really don't need, since I'm more for performane. The performance sponsorships come later, when you show you're serious (those things cost more money).
Ok, so what type of stuff did you turn down? O.o even if it wasn't your kind of stuff what all have you been offered exactly and under what conditions? Ie a whole audio stystem for free ? or pay w/discount if attending show? etc...

I never applied for any sponsorship program, but one of my bois did for his 97 ford escort sedan. He signed up at Andy's Autosport a bodykit fabbing company and they were looking for a Escort Sedan for a prototype bodykit since nobody was making bodykits for the Escort Sedans back in the day, the Zetec Powered ZX2 Escort Coupes were only favored at the time.

He basically was the first escort sedan to have a bodykit made exclusively for it. Before Escort Sedan enthusiasts would mod the older 2G eclipse front bodykits to fit their cars since the 1piece headlight design was almost similar. All that was needed for it to fit was for the bumper to be trimmed down in width and fiberglassed back together....

                ANYWAYS

Being the first escort sedan to be kitted, he entered his car at local car shows (unpainted) he got laughed at but all he was trying to do is show off the new kit designed for the car. He then got recognized and had a few well known companies wanting him to sign up with them....but school came first for him and he turned them down because most of the contracts required him to be at several car shows per year etc. and he couldn't commit to that.

Some of the things were good that they were offering though..... they were offering him free rims, then wholesale discount prices on aftermarket parts.... I mean stupid prices! So yeah if your up to it, u can probably do it.... but remember nothing is free, u have to read the fine print.
I need a custom turbo manifold built....

I gave the list of things I had offered earlier in this thread. Blaupunkt and StreetFX Lighting were partial sponsorships... Blaupunkt wanted a detailed design plan on what I had in mind, and they offered me heavy discounts on pretty much their whole line. It was a good deal, but I'm not interested in making a show audio system.

Max It Out DVD offered me free DVDs, and gave me a shot at being featured in one in the future. Again, I'm not really into anything but performance, so I didn't respond.

Decalkits.com gave me a full sponsorship, with "$500" worth of decals availible... nice stuff, but yet again, I don't care for showy stuff... and I was just painted, so there was no point ruining that!

All of them required participation in shows and events of some sort.

Hmm... sounds good, I know I have a custom audio/video setup in mind. So far going with alpine, but changing wouldn't be too big of a deal. Not going with 4 12"s or anything, just one twelve In a custom box design with a couple 6 1/2"s or 6x9"s on each side with the amp/amps and capacitator under a plexiglass window in the floor. Not to mention my 'head unit' is going to be a computer I've bought that I'm gonna custom fit up front. Hoping to get my cd5 headlight swap done then probably gonna sign up. HIN will be swinging around in Oct so if I get em looking b4 then I might have a really nice setup to show... that plus my cb7tuner.com stickers everywhere will be really good for the site.

I have to say I agree completly with NIGHTMARE! I DON'T want a big fancy sound system or LCD screens in the trunk. I am looking into getting a front lip but other then that and possibly a CF hood the exterior is gonna be sleeper. Yeah I have rims and am preparing for a drop but I want to keep it sleeper for the majority. I want people pulling up next to me thinking im running all stock with an exhaust system and think they could smoke me and then I turn around and smoke them. Would the Carsponsorships.com thing be a bad idea for someone like myself? I want the engine mods not a big heavy audio system and not a body kit. Like NIGHTMARE said... "im saving up for the big H swap. but along the way ive been takeing care of this engine." What do you guys think??

I have no business skills what so ever. It's more like trial and error that I have learned. Basically I earned all my shit just by asking.

1991 accord: show quality... 2 sponorships by 2 different car shops. Had my car done by them now I rock their stickers and they paid my way to the shows. I had more possible sponsorships already but wasn't able to pull through since my car was destroyed before it can fully bloom.

1992 accord: I got some sponsorship from the place where I ordered my paint. 900 paint and I only paid 600 FLAT plus free entry to any car show I'd like to enter as long its a major car show and just rocking their sticker on my car.

Note: This is before my car is painted. The paint shop just saw a lowered black old school accord thats lowered and shitty fading paint. They asked me what else I'm doing to the car and I proposed my plan. They figured I had good taste and had an excellent choice in paint. So we made our agreements.

Not all sponsorships have to do with cars. My next sponsorship is going to be by Naughty America since I have some ties with them. Bag on me all you want but I rather be sponsored by some hardcore porn company then just a lil shack that sells stickers for cars.

And deevs how come you havn't answered to my pms?

I have seen how you have to have a Credit card to pay the processing fee or whatever that maybe. Just wondering if anyone in here has a sponsership and how you go about getting sponsered. What does your sponsership include Perks etc? Just curious as to if there are any sponserships out there that are worth anything. Let me know back. I figured getting sponsered might be a good way to go about getting some extra cash. Thanks in advance.
the club i am in has anywhere from 10-15 sponsors. not hard to do if u actually do it right and take the time and effort to look.
