ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    The DANGER of lambo doors

Yeah, I'm posting this in three different sections because I think it's a very important thing to get out. Forgive me if you see something wrong with this. I just wouldn't want to see any of you guys end up in this situation.

I saw this in a thread this morning, the danger of lambo doors, this lamborghini flipped over onto its roof, making it impossible to open the doors once the vehicle caught on fire, I put the pictures down lower in the thread so that people who do not want to see the pictures do not have to, so BE WARNED: SOME GRAPHIC PICTURES. I never really thought of this senario before, but its a scary thought!!! Although unless you have a lamborghini you wont have to wrry about it as most aftermarket conversion kits allow the door to swing both up and out like a stock door

Shiet thats sad. I feel sorry for the person in the accident...thats a sad way to die. On another note it still depends on how the car suffers damage in an accident. If the door or frame is crushed in anyway, it might effect the way the door opens (if it opens at all) whether the door are suicide, scissor or normal. My buddy had a 2k Civic Si and had a 18-wheeler cut him off. Unfortunately those civics didn't come with ABS so he slid and crushed his whole front end in trying to avoid hitting another car. The drivers side door appeared to be ok except for the passenger side, however both doors didn't open at all after the accident.

Good topic tho... yeah I can see why scissor doors would be more dangerous and unreliable in that sort of accident vs. normal doors if given the chance to run away from a fire hazzard.

looks like its snowing, why would you drive that fast int he snow? he had to be going at least a 100 for his car to crash and catch on fire...
You have been defeated by a car with child locks, how embarassing...

okay.. lambo doors.. bad... IN EMERGENCY AREA.. but think bout this.. on normal doors.. car can flip over and u if u damage ur door then ur door jam will be stuck in. ur gonna have to climb out the window like everybody else. but the chance of u flippin ur car and catchin on fire and all that is small. dun worry bout it.. get them diablo. they open out all the way like stock doors!

my first wreck, the car was laying on it's side in a ravine and the other door was jammed closed due to a tree hitting the b-pillar.....i had to use my bat to jam a hole through the top (driver side) door and we climbed out............you can ALWAYS find a way out, some people just freak......it's not the easiest thing to punch a window out and under water, you probably can't no matter who you are due to pressure, but then it's handy to have a tiny, sharp object (screwdriver or something) to shatter that window and make your way out.....they actually sell this thing for underwater wrecks that goes on your key chain.....a spring loaded punch of sorts........no door style is any more dangerous than the next because they each have their negatives and you can always get out another way
....and on the 7th day, deevergote rested and called his mom.

Are you talking about the Life Hammer Ricky?

I actually heard somewhere that some cars with those style doors have a hinge that releases or something along those lines...I don't know if there's truth or just an unsubstantiated rumor.

I think it would be harder to get out of a car like that if it was on fire than a normal car, but then again in the right situation you probably would end up trapped anyways.

The pics and stroy = repost.

Good thought on the doors though. Yeah, most kits, that I know of or plan on getting, can open both ways.

x3 on not flippin that biatch!
