ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

No better deal than $325 for my 91 Accord EX in a local junkyard. They actually didn't want to sell this one to me (said they "had more in this one" th an another). The day after I got the car, I ripped up my carpet, and found a 10K gold bracelet on the driver side... I guess they were right. So far, I've spent an estimated $947 on it. I've only bought some minor things too and plan much much more as I'm just getting started on this project. (Hint: I don't even have any pics yet). Here's a short list of what I've got so far:
    • F1 Fenders - $135
    • Full Body Kit - $600
    • Interior Carpet - $128
    • Racing Steering Wheel & Hub - $45
    • Alarm/Keyless System - $60
    • Spark Plug & Wire Kit - $65
    • Exhaust Headers - $60

Like I said, I've got lots to come. I'll try to keep up to date pics on my progress all the way up to the finished project. I hope to get everything done by next summer. I'm sure I'll be accessing these forums for help along the way. Peace!

      $3000 a little over 5 years ago with 157k

Car hasn't exactly had an easy life, been hit many times but I have to say it has been a great car otherwise. Only let me down once when the ignitor died, stupid $40 part.

      Just normal stuff...
      Timing belt - $500
Brakes - couple sets of pads and rotors.
Axles - 1 on each side.
tires - 2 sets, 3rd set going on soon.
      3 sets of plugs
2 dis cap / 3 rotors, one burnt up real fast never did figure out why
      1 ignitor
main relay, free got it from a parts car.
      spark plug tube seals
      decklid, got rearended.

Just shy of 250k miles, like I said a little beat up but she runs 70-80mph for 60 miles a day to and from work. Doesn't burn a drop of oil either.

paid 800 for the coupe... i have spent about 200 in oil !! hehe but besides that its been good so far. things have been replaced but i have had the extra parts laying around so no money lost there !!! plus several parts under warranty. it needs a rear seal but i am not about to pull the tranny just yet.. if and when it gets real bad then i will do it but i am hoping to just get a f22b dohc w/ auto tranny this next year.

When my late gramps bought the CB1 back in 1990, she was 65k of our money

Taking into account the exchange rate back then, our 65k at the time equates to around about 30K USD. (yes i know, bloody expensive)

Now, the CB1 has a market value of about 3K USD.

The same amount i paid for the complete swap back in 03, labour, parts, paint (06)
