ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    M2A4 transmission??

What car does an M2A4 transmission come from? What're the benefits of this transmission? Is it smoother? Does it make the motor pull harder? Will it fit onto my CB7? I have a JDM H22A A/T, if I were to want a M2A4 transmission which one would I need for an A/T?

A/T stands for Atuomatic transmission correct? so how would you get a transmission for you transmission?

The M2A4 is a 5 speed, so you wouldn't have A/T anymore. the A4 is non-LSD verses the B4 which is LSD.

my opinion is that 5 speeds alway hookup better then a A/T, unless its built. because no one can switch gears perfectly like a built auto can.

It comes on preludes. and it has shorter gears so it accelerates faster but lacks a big fifth gear so highway mileage will be considerably lowered.

And i believe its a manual with lsd as well so you would be looking to swap to a 5 speed.

M2A4 is NON lsd, M2B4 is LSD. Both are 5 speed transmissions.

The auto versions are MP1A, some come LSD and some don't.

These transmissions all come out of JDM h22 preludes.

Yeah well I was just wondering what an M2A4 transmission was. Didn't know they came out of H22's that have a 5 speed manual shift.

ahhh ok. Yeah we wouldn't want to have the 5 gear being a problem on the highway. These days everyone is all about mileage, some don't care, but most do.

Ahhh ok. So if I were to get a new a/t transmission I would need the MP1A, I don't think my budget is ready for a 5 speed conversion so MP1A it is!!
