ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Help

I want to get my Honda Accord (1993 10th Anniversary Edition) into racing form, but i am a bit lost on all the technical specs and what all i can do to it. If any one can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. I want to do an H22a V-Tec swap into it as well.

I wouldn't mind having the power to drag and drift. But i am focusing more on circuit and/or rally, and street.

that would require 2 different suspension set-ups and RWD, unless you're talking about using the parking brake. later.

I could use the parking brake but let me be more specific, i guess it would fall under rally, dirt track racing within a sense. But im really focusing more on circuit and street, and maybe drag.

Well i'm saving to do an H22a V-Tec engine swap unless you can suggest otherwise, but regarding finances, cheap would be better considering but at the moment lets say money isn't to much of an issue.

the good thing is you dont need a cage till you hit 12's for the drag. gut weight, that is one thing that is holding our cars back.

for the same price of an engine swap, you can turbo the f22. look at all the imports in the 10's and 11's. they are mainly turbo.

So can you get the same performance out of a F22 modded as an H22 modded?

not necessarily. Most ppl are split between turbo or h22, there is other options but these seem to be the most common. For about as much as a h22 swap cost you could turbo your f22, give or take depending on what setup and parts that you use.

Check out the performance section and see what other people are doing to give you an idea

Which do you think would be better? And can't you turbo the H22a and outperform?

if you already have the h22 then it would cost the same to turbo. but if you dont./....you have to buy the engine and the components to make it run first and THEN buy the turbo parts.

plus if you blow up a f22, they are a dime a dozen. i got a good running one for 25 dollars.

I'm just trying to figure should i go with the swap and mod it or mod what i got. I want to try to achieve the best amount of torque & top end speed.
