ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Are you sure you seated the pads properly? Did you put the pads on the right sides of the rotor? The pad with the sensor goes on the inside. Did you install the shims? Also, does it just click when you brake? Did you ever hear it click when you are turning without hitting the brake? How many miles ago did you put the pads on?Last edited by AbsurdNY; 02-18-2009, 05:00 PM.

I'd take the caliper assembly back off, check to see if you can tell what it could be and reassemble it and see if it still does it. Make sure the caliper bolts are good and tight.
You may be able to put the rear of the car on jackstands, pull the E-brake to simulate braking, and see if you hear the click when you turn the rear wheel. If you do, you can take the wheel off and turn the rotor by the lugs and tell exactly where it's coming from.
I have seen a set of coilovers that were dropped so far that the threads of the perch were hitting the spring and clicking...but I wouldn't suspect that if the problem showed up with a brake job.

Did you sand the tips off the leading and trailing edges of the shoes when you fitted them?Originally posted by jdm_4dr_accrd View Postthe thing is i have drum brakes in da bak not disc. an i alread tried to do the spin the wheel an brake in the air didnt work. an so ur sayin u heard a car do the clickin from coil overs before hmm maybe i should do stock springs in the bak to see if that could be the problem?
When you look at the shoes like - ( ) The leading and trailing edges of the shoes have a square cut edge where it meets the drum. It should be given a light sanding to round it off.

good 'ol "dum" brakes. overcomplicated and undereffective. something in there is probably the culprit. you have to adjust the shoes just right so they are as close as possible to the drums without touching when at rest with that little ratchet and screw adjuster. make sure nothing is loose. is it only on one side? maybe you can compare the two. sometimes there are different length pivot pins, did you compare the old parts to the new ones to make sure they are the same?
