Popping/Clicking when turning left/right

I'm buying a 1990 Accord 4-door next Friday, and I just went to test drive it. It runs great, and there's no noise coming from the engine bay or anything. The only problem is that when I turn left/right, I hear a pretty audible clicking/popping noise, and it'll continue until I go straight. I'm thinking new CV joints, but the parts store said it'd be easier to just replace the whole CV axle. Any help? Thanks guys.

sounds like axles!!! $40 each axle mind as well replace them

Is it pretty easy to do? What all would I have to take off/remove?

cv axles like $60 each for rebuild at local part store, its easy if u know what u doing, if u have compressor and impact gun, make a lot easier, take the wheels off and the 36mm center bolt and lose the outter tie rod 17mm nut, dont remove the tie rod just lose it so u can move the rod on the side, bottom ball joint 17mm, this part might take a while to lose it, and prey the cv axles with big flathead screwdriver, good luck

Yeah I need to replace my drivers side one as it is clicking when I turn, but I am trying to put it off until I lower it. Try to kill two birds with one stone. Here is a link to the online manual, should give you an idea as to the difficulty and time.

Is it good to drive with it? Or does it need fixing immediately?

You'll want to get it fixed pretty quickly. Once they break the car won't move and you'll be stuck. It's an easy fix.

no its not cause if it break on you your car cant go no where the car with just rev out when u try to gas it

Yup, that be the axle. bout 70 bux at oreily or the zone and you get a lifetime warranty.
