I had a friend with a B18 he bought a header off of e-bay everyone made fun of him because it was an off brand then he felt obligated to by a more expensive brand I think it was a STRUP polished stainless steel header for $350 he put it on then a couple of days later he sent it back. he told everyone that he didn't feel the slightest deference in horse power. I also have a e-bay header works fine for me. I had it for 3 years now. no problems what so ever.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

When it comes to Hondas, there really are no worthwhile gains to be had from any header under $500... often, nothing under $1000. Of course, if you're going to spent $1000 on a header, you had better have serious plans for the motor. If you just want a little extra power... an H22 swap would probably be the better route.

In terms of F22ax headers...
In regards to Kamikaze, Megan Racing, F22a6 and F22a4 stock headers, I would stick with the F22a4/a6 design. If you have to go aftermarket, then I would choose Megan Racing over Kamikazee for fitment quality and durability.
I really do think the stock F22a4/a6 header quality and durability overall is far superior to most aftermarket crap out there. Aftermarket will result in leaks generally speaking or cracks, it is pathetic. Generally, our stock headers only go bad because they corrode and get blowout holes or the flex-pipe cracks....that's after YEARS of abuse. Stock units by design withstand gasket leaks as well, they are really well put together, but I will not get into the details. You can always modify the output flange to incorporate larger exhaust piping. I would retain this type of setup while continuing to modify the engine elsewhere.
After all mods are exhausted to the point that the exhaust system really becomes the hinderance, then I would save up for a Bisimoto header no question. I feel most people's projects on this forum, will not get to this point though, that is the reality.

My car will probably never get an H22 swap unless the wife gets into the scene. It is her daily driver, but she is used to driving heavily modified cars. The engine compartment needs something to make it look more modified. You never know though, her Jetta had a motor swap, and stuff so it's possible I guess. She is already talking about going to the East Coast GTG...Last edited by standard125r; 12-01-2009, 11:39 AM.

Well put, however I feel the Accord is more of a "Grandpa" car than a Granny car. LOLOriginally posted by deevergote View PostThe H22 is a very docile motor in stock form. Plenty powerful, but tame enough for someone that doesn't want a "sports car". Driven like a granny, the Accord will still feel like a granny car
