Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    What brand is the best for "bang for your buck"?

    I know DC is a good brand, but I'd prefer Megan over this after reading up on it in the Megan vs. DC thread.

    What are other alternatives to these brands that are of decent quality.

    bisimoto engineering, all others are about the same. Quality is the only issue with the others. Look for thick flanges and good welds.

        If you got the cash, Bisi is the way to go. If not, DC or Megan will do good.

          The Bisimoto header will make power. The rest... not really. If you want any sort of gains at all from any other header, you're going to need to replace the collector with a larger one (Burns Stainless makes good pre-made collectors). Of course, the collector itself will cost more than your cheap-crap header, and the labor to have it properly welded on will probably cost that much again. You'll be paying more than half the cost of the Bisimoto header (at least in the recent group buy) for a header that will MAYBE make half the power.

            oh well, 27 hp gain? I don't belive it but bisi header is a nice header!! indeed!!!

              Factory Header from F22a4. been around 20 years, and mine was still in great shape when i got it from the junk yard for 25 bucks. Just had to get gaskets for around 25 bucks, and you've got yourself a header that will still outlast any cheap header from ebay.

                true, oem does trump over ebay usually when it comes to quality.
